The massif also boasts areas of high ecological interest, in particular peat bogs and alluvial forests, which will be the subject of an in-depth study to determine the actions to be implemented in the coming years, acting on the degree of openness of the environments and the circulation of water, with the aim of maintaining or even improving biodiversity. If we had to name just one of the many species found on this massif, the area is suspected of being home to the nationally threatened Loggerhead Shrike.
